On behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 67th Executive Committee Meeting of the IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme scheduled for 21-24 June 2010 in San Francisco, California, USA.
The meetings will convene early Monday afternoon, June 21 with a final presentation and review of Task 37 - "Advanced Housing Renovation with Solar and Conservation". This will be followed by the Operating Agents meeting in the late afternoon – early evening. The IEA SHC ExCo meetings will be conducted on Tuesday, June 22 and Wednesday, June 23. All dinners are open to attendees and guests with advance reservation.
There will be an all-day technical tour by bus on Thursday, June 24 beginning at 8 a.m. which is also open to attendees and guests. This will include a visit to a local solar manufacturing facility and a tour of an interesting solar thermal installation at a local winery. There will also be an historic tour conducted by a California docent and a subsequent lunch stop in the quaint town square of Sonoma. The trip will end with an un-hosted dinner stop in the picturesque waterfront community of Sausalito, CA - world renowned for its Mediterranean flair and breathtaking views. Although the bus will not be returning to the hotel until mid-late Thursday evening, we will arrive in Sausalito in time to catch an interesting ferry across the Bay to the Fisherman’s Wharf and hotel area for a small fee (less than $10), for anyone preferring to proceed directly back to the hotel rather than attend dinner with the group.
