Location Information

Rotterdam is the second largest city in the Netherlands with one of the biggest harbours in the world. Rotterdam has a lot of modern architecture, because after the second world war the whole centre had to be rebuild. It was included in 2014 in the top ten cities you should visit by the Lonely Planet guide. I could not get a reservation in the building “the vertical city”, but this hotel is nearer to the centre and also has a view of the famous Erasmusbridge.

The nearest international airport to city is the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.  Rotterdam has a small airport, but is has not too many flights. The train connection to Rotterdam is excellent with a direct high speed train which takes 30 minutes and another connection with a travel time of one hour. From the central station the metro brings you in 10 minutes to the stop “Leuvehaven” which is directly next to the hotel.
